DOZENS of young runners turned out in fancy dress to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee at a North-East parkrun.
The Darlington Junior parkrun, held in the town's South Park, attracted 67 runners, who took part wearing eye-catching Jubilee costumes and the colours of the Union Flag.
The event began with a Jubilee-themed warm-up led by volunteer Emma Joyeux, featuring marching on the spot, curtseying, and crouching down like a corgi. A total of 24 runners set a new personal best during the event.
