COMMUNITIES across the region celebrated in style across the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend to mark the Queen’s 70-year reign.
Street parties, music concerts and fun activities for all ages were staged as communities came together in honour of the Monarch.
People packed into marquees festooned with red, white and blue to celebrate the Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday, but the party started for many on Thursday - the first day of the Jubilee bank holiday.
As well as bunting being strung from house to house, streets were decorated with balloons and banners.
