IT'S not often that Las Vegas and Middlesbrough go together – but with rock band The Killers in the North East on Wednesday (June 1) – it was impossible not to make the connection.

Staging yet another UK date on their Imploding The Mirage tour, the American rockers played hit after hit in a performance that left The Riverside Stadium wanting more.

From Mr Brightside to Smile Like You Mean It, and from Read My Mind to Spaceman, the show had plenty of high points, as well as numerous poignant parts.

The Las Vegas band, fronted by Brandon Flowers, were scheduled to play the show in 2020, but with cancellations due to Covid-19, many have been waiting nearly two years to attend the performance.
