A DARLINGTON junior football club has announced another victory after having success in Europe over Easter when they won a tournament in Barcelona.

The final game was against the strong opposition of Boro Ranger Oranges, a team they have never managed to defeat but have had some close games in the past ending in draws.
After winning the Copa Jordi European tournament in Barcelona in April, the boys were “full of belief” according to their Coach.
From the start of the game, Boro Rangers had most of the possession and chances, however, a lofted ball over the top of one of their players by Tyler Kelly, netted the Allstars, 1-0.
Eventually, after a few missed attempts and fantastic saves from Allstar’s goalie Harry Foxton, the Rangers managed to break through bringing the score up to 1-1.
With the game ending on a draw it was now time for penalties.
After a tense round of shots, team captain, Zachery Robinson managed to sneak the ball into the net below the Rangers’ keeper, scoring Allstars’ first ever victory over Boro Ranger Oranges.
Andy Robinson, Team manager and coach, was delighted for the boys and said they “fully deserved the win.”
He added : “It was a close game and we were probably not the best team out there today, but we held them to a draw and finished our penalties well.

“We are over joyed for them. We are equally gutted for the Boro Ranger boys as they are a good team, one of the best, and it's always a good game against them.”
