A MAN is due to appear in court charged with the theft of luggage worth more than £10,000 from a railway station.
The luggage was allegedly taken from Darlington railway station on two dates last October.
Stephen Lindsay, of Lytton Court, Middlesbrough, has been charged with four counts of theft, including theft by finding.

On October 16 last year, the 33-year-old was accused of taking two sets of luggage from separate victims. One was valued at £8,065 and the other at £1,608.
Four days later, on October 20, it is alleged Lindsay took two further sets of luggage from separate victims, which were valued at £250 and £155.
He was due to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 19 but the case was adjourned until Tuesday, May 24 for a plea hearing.
