EMERGENCY services have dealt with a two-vehicle crash on a busy County Durham road today (May 23).
The incident happened on Essington Way, Peterlee, near its junction with A1086 - causing significant traffic disruption as police attended the scene.
No one is believed to have been injured in the collision, which happened at around 12.20 pm.

There were several police vehicles attending the crash near the entrance to the Acre Rigg Filling Station.
Eyewitness Mark Robinson, who arrived at the scene after the crash said: "I pulled up as I was delivering the garage staff some food.
"I asked the police lady if I was OK to park on the grass and walk in with my delivery.
"From what I saw the front end of one car had almost disappeared and it was the front wing of the other car all smashed in.

"The police had one guy in the back of their car. Looked a bit shook up. But there wasn't an ambulance at that point.
"The two cars seemed empty so hopefully everyone was OK."
A Durham police spokesperson said: "Police attended a two-vehicle collision which happened at around 12.20pm today on Essington Way, Peterlee.
"Nobody is thought to have been injured in the collision.
"Both vehicles have been recovered and traffic is now moving freely."
