POLICE in Middlesbrough are appealing for information after a report that a man was attacked with a weapon in the town centre.
Paramedics treated a 32-year-old man who had injuries to his upper back and arm after allegedly being assaulted with a weapon in Union Street between 7.30pm and 8pm on Saturday night (May 21).

Two men, 20 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been interviewed and bailed while inquiries continue.
Any witnesses or anyone else with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference 086418.
