Eurovision 2022 has kicked off but one question is on everyone’s lips – why is Mika hosting?
The world’s biggest music competition – the Eurovision Song Contest – is one of the longest-running and most-watched non-sporting events in the world.
This year it is being broadcast by the BBC live from Turin.
Italy play host this year following the country's victory in 2021 in Rotterdam with Zitti E Buoni performed by Måneskin.
