PRESTIGE Care has opened its new care home in Hartlepool with a capacity of 94 beds for residents.
Owner and Hartlepool United Chairman Raj Singh opened the facility alongside Sky Sports Presenter Jeff Stelling.
The new facility adds to six care homes that are currently open in the Teesside area.

Singh said: “There has been a lot of hard work that has gone into this. Really pleased that Jeff has turned up today. Hopefully now it will be a big success and we can get our first residents in the next couple of weeks.
“It’s a long journey when you first start off with the site. The finished product will be when the home is full.
“I had a look at this site long before I bought the club. I had a look around and the first thing it reminded me of was Ingleby Barwick. We’ve had a home there for 12 years and it’s been really successful.
“It’s taken a little bit longer than we would have liked to get it built and finished with Covid and then problems with getting materials but we’re there now. The hard bit starts now with the operating people to get it built up.”
