A SUSPECTED drink driver was arrested after stopping for a late night McDonalds in Darlington.
Staff at the fast food restaurant in Morton Park raised the alarm after a customer arrived smelling of booze, slurring her speech and behaving strangely, a Durham Police spokesperson said.
She had arrived at the popular drive-thru just before midnight last night.

Raising the alarm, staff called police, who attended and spotted the vehicle on Yarm Road heading towards McMullen Road.
After a five-minute pursuit the Audi A3 was pulled over.
Subsequently, a woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and driving under the influence of alcohol.

She was taken into custody where she was charged with the offences and is due to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on June 20.
