A MAN has been charged following a spate of commercial burglaries in Horden.
The incidents in the east Durham village saw suspects target 11 commercial properties and cause damage to fruit machines as well as cash being stolen.
Robert Alan Coles was arrested in connection with the offences yesterday (May 10).

He was charged with eight counts of burglary, three counts of attempted burglary and two counts of theft from motor vehicle and appeared at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court today.
No pleas were entered and the 45-year-old, of Tower Street West, Sunderland, was remanded into custody.
Mr Coles is next expected to appear at Durham Crown Court on June 8.
