The 40-year-old was identified by his distinctive walk on CCTV and as the owner was fitting extra security measures, caught him in the act itself.
Officers swiftly arrested Bellerby, of Helford Road, Peterlee and after an investigation by the Peterlee Volume Crime Team, he admitted all of the offences in interview.
He appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on May 2 and pleaded guilty to all offences.
Bellerby is next expected to appear at Durham Crown Court on May 24.
