A DARLINGTON man has been jailed after assaulting an emergency worker and harassing someone and breaching a restraining order.
Jason Sangster, 33 of Commercial Street appeared before County Durham and Darlington Magistrates Court on Friday, May 6.

He was charged with assaulting a police constable and harassing someone, therefore breaching a restraining order imposed by the court.
The reason for the sentence was because he had breached his restraining order and the assault also involved a “shod foot” which means he kicked his victim while defenseless on the ground.
Sangster was also under a suspended sentence at the time of the offence for previous offences.
He pleaded guilty to all charges and was jailed for 24 weeks overall.

He was also made to pay £50 in compensation and £128 to victim services.
