OFFICERS have continued their crackdown on crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB) in a Teesside neighbourhood.

Two juvenile boys were arrested earlier this week in Eston and Normanby in connection with a series of alleged offences. The pair are accused of: harassment, criminal damage, witness intimidation, and burglary.

They have been released under investigation while inquires continue.

A local address was searched as part of the investigation, and a motorbike which had been reported stolen from an address in New Marske was recovered. It will be returned to its rightful owner, Cleveland Police added.

Neighbourhood Chief Inspector Jon Hagen thanked local people for continuing to provide information on those believed to be committing crime and ASB. He said:

“A community meeting last weekend meant we could provide updates on our recent successes and to tell them about our on-going work. We also accept that while we have seen some positive inroads into tackling these issues, we’re not complacent and recognise there’s still work to be done.

“Crime and ASB can impact residents’ quality of life and my officers will continue to work with them, as well as with partner agencies and local Councillors.

“Finally, I’d once again ask parents and carers to check where their children and young people are and what they’re getting up to.”
