A taste of Yorkshire will be available in the skies after the multi-award-winning Black Sheep Brewery secured a major deal with airline Jet2.com.
The Masham-based brewery has entered into an exclusive partnership with Jet2.com, which will see its iconic Black Sheep Ale available on all the award-winning airline’s flights from across its ten UK bases from May 1.
Jet2.com, which has its headquarters in Leeds, is the UK’s third largest airline and has ten UK bases – Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and London Stansted.

The two Yorkshire businesses have combined to give passengers a particularly unique experience in the sky, with Black Sheep Ale available for the first time onboard Jet2.com flights in a 330ml can.
Produced at Black Sheep’s North Yorkshire brewery, the cans will feature as part of Jet2.com’s new In-Flight Summer menu.
A cornerstone of the Black Sheep range, Black Sheep Ale is one of the brewery’s most popular beers, using British hops and a complex malt blend, brewed using fresh dales water and Yorkshire square fermenters to give Black Sheep Ale a rich, bitter-sweet flavour. The brand, which was the first beer to be bottled at Black Sheep, is nationally available in 500ml bottle
Charlene Lyons, chief executive of Black Sheep Brewery, said: “We’re proud of this agreement with Jet2.com to feature Black Sheep Ale on flights to and from the UK, which will introduce one of Yorkshire’s best exports to new audiences.
“This is a great collaboration between two Yorkshire companies that will also offer international visitors to Britain a taste of our wonderful county before they touch down in the UK.”
Kirsty Calvert, In-Flight Retail Commercial and Operations Manager of Jet2.com, said: “We are always looking for new ways to excite our customers with our onboard range, and we are delighted to partner with Black Sheep Brewery to bring their famous Black Sheep Ale to the skies for the first time.”
