A CANNABIS grow thought to be the largest in County Durham and Darlington on record has been discovered by police.
Officers believe the grow, found at an address in Darlington, is the largest they have ever uncovered.
Police were called to reports of the grow at an address on Valley Street shortly after 2.15pm on Monday afternoon (April 25).
Once inside, they discovered around 3,400 plants spanning two floors of the unused office building.
The men, aged 25, 27, 27 and 22 were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
They have since been charged and will appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court today (April 27).
A large police presence will remain in the area over the next few days.
