TWO men have been charged after a food delivery van was broken into in County Durham.
Police were called to an incident on Monday, April 11, in which two men are said to have broken into the back of the van at Trevelyan College, Durham, and assaulted the driver.
The suspects are said to have made off in a separate car with the driver's belongings.
Officers from a neighbouring force stopped the vehicle after it was caught on camera the next day (April 12) and arrested the occupants.
Among the belongings recovered was the victim’s driving licence, which was kindly handed in after it was found in Durham City.
William ‘Billie’ Bogie, 44 has since been charged with robbery and Dylan Barnes, 41, was charged with robbery, theft from a shop, driving whilst disqualified and having no insurance.
They are both due to appear at Durham Crown Court on May 13.
