A LARGE town centre office space is on the market to be taken over.
The Old Exchange, on Barnard Street, in Darlington, is currently advertised for sale at £1.6 million.
The facility has recently been used as a base for HM Treasury North, The Department for International Trade and Amazon.
It was also transformed into a Covid-19 NHS vaccination centre before closing last year.
Darlington Primary Care Network, which is made up of the town’s 11 GP practices, was running a vaccination centre at The Old BT exchange in Barnard Street to give Covid booster jabs to vulnerable and elderly people in the town.
The ground and first floor of the facility are currently for sale, while NHS Property Services currently operates out of floor two.
Also included in the site is a car parking consisting of 74 parking spaces.
