EMERGENCY services have been dealing with a crash that blocked a road and left a driver injured.
The alarm was raised at 5.54pm on Yarm Road between High Leven and Hilton, near Yarm.
It is understood the collision was near the Fox Covert pub.
One eyewitness told the Northern Echo said: “There was loads of emergency service vehicles.
“The air ambulance is there too. Looks like quite a bad crash and the road was closed.”
Cleveland Fire and Rescue Service and North East Ambulance service have both been in at the scene.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "It was a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
"There were two persons involved. No-one was trapped.
"A casualty was treated at the scene and taken to hospital by ambulance.
"We made the area safe."
