POLICE have launched an investigation after a moped was stolen from the front garden of a Northallerton property during the night.
The incident took place on Prospect View in Northallerton at 10.52pm on April 5 and saw three men, believed to be in their 20s, enter the property.
The steering lock was then smashed off the moped and police believe the suspects pushed it away back towards Greenhill Crescent.

Officers say the men were all wearing hoodies and walked in from the direction of Greenhill Crescent.
The moped has been described as having a light grey fairing on the top half and a dark grey bottom half with the registration number YJ58 RYH.
One of the three suspects has been described by officers as considerably taller than the other two.
He looks to be wearing dark or black shorts and what appears to be a dark green or grey coloured hoody with a logo on the front left-hand chest, and black or dark coloured trainers with white laces.
Another man appears to be wearing a matching hoody and jogging-type bottoms, with the top having a white stripe down each arm that runs from the shoulder to the elbow and dark coloured trainers.
The third suspect is dressed in similar clothes to the second man, however, he has white or silver flashes on each shoulder that runs from the neck across to the upper shoulder.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact Daren.Rosamond@northyorkshire.police.uk or call 101, select option 2, and ask for Daren Rosamond.
