A COUNTY Durham teenager has been charged following a string of burglaries in Ferryhill and told not to enter certain parts of the town.
The 15-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was arrested in a combined operation between response officers, CID and the Ferryhill Neighbourhood Policing Team from Durham Police, on April 1, after becoming the suspect in several offences.

He was subsequently charged with three burglaries, one charge of arson and failing to surrender to court bail.
The 15-year-old appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on April 2 and was bailed by magistrates with conditions, including not to enter Eldon Terrace, Carlton Street or Ferversham Terrace, in Ferryhill, until April 22.
