A NORTH Yorkshire care home in commemorated the day ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 yesterday by getting into the disco fever.
Scarborough Hall care home had its own ABBA themed musical afternoon, as well as ABBA themed exercise classes and other activities.

Charlotte Nurse, general manager at the home, said that a lot of the home’s residents are big “ABBA fan” and “love their music.”
She added: “We booked Devan Kellet who sings on the cruise ships who tailored an ABBA tribute themed musical afternoon for us to enjoy. We’ve had a fantastic day listening to all their hits.
“We had an ABBA themed exercise class using our Oomph Demand platform, it is amazing how many songs they recorded. We all surprised ourselves by how many we remembered!”

Barrie Mills, a resident at the home, said: “I loved ABBA growing up. Listening to all their old hits has brought back so many memories. We’ve all had a brilliant time reminiscing about our dance fever days!”
