COVID tests in England are no longer free after the Government earlier this year announced it would be scrapping them for the majority of people.
Free lateral flow tests, which used to be supplied via the Government website and for free in pharmacies, were officially axed on April 1.

It comes as Covid rates right across the North East, and the country, have soared in recent weeks as some areas recording their highest rates yet.

However, for a very select number of people, including those with certain health conditions and certain NHS healthcare roles, Covid tests will remain free...for now.
But where can you get Covid tests if you are not eligible - and how much can you expect to pay?
A number of supermarkets and pharmacies with stores in the North East and North Yorkshire are selling rapid lateral flow tests with varying prices.
So we have scoured the supermarkets and pharmacies currently stocking them, how many are included in a pack and their price.
Tesco
Tesco is selling a pack titled "Everything Genetic Covid-19 Antigen Test Kit" which includes one test for £2. To view online click here.
Superdrug
The beauty and drug giant is selling a pack of five known as Flowflex Lateral Flow Test SARS-CoV-2 Antigen for £9.79. To view online click here.
Boots
On the Boots website, the company is selling a pack of four lateral flow tests for £17. To view online click here.
Lloyds Pharmacy
Lloyds Pharmacy is advertising one lateral flow test for £1.89 and five tests for £9.29. To view online click here.
