A FESTIVAL celebrating alternative and Gothic subcultures is coming to Whitby later this month.
Leeds Festival of Gothica has been celebrating the alternative subculture of Leeds for many years with the city's museums and galleries and has hosted many successful events.

Across the weekend of April 23, the organisers will be hosting their successful Alternative Market at Whitby Pavilion and the first Family Friendly Horror film festival, Matinee Macabre.
There will be a host of stalls selling weird and wonderful things from antiques, to fashion and homeware.
There will be sword punk displays, an alternative wedding section and an immersive photo booth hosted by Leeds Playhouse Costume Hire.
DJ Harry Shavo Sutherland Resident DJ at the Alternative Markets will be at the event and a coffin bath bar is among the many attractions.
Performances will include Byronic Sex and Exile and the Sophie Lancaster foundation will be in attendance along with the Whitby krampus run.

The market and events take place at Whitby Pavillion from 10am to 6pm on the Saturday and 10am to 5pm on the Sunday.
Entry is free but the family-friendly Matinee Macabre, which will screen classic films such as the Labyrinth and Hocus Pocus throughout the weekend, costs £4 per child, £6 per adult.
