A RESCUE operation was launched to help a motorcyclist who suffered a serious leg injury whilst riding in the North York Moors.
The Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team (CMRT) received a call on Sunday afternoon from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service who reported that a motorcyclist had suffered a serious leg injury on Danby Rigg, south of Danby.

A Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter was also sent to the scene.
A double-crewed CMRT Land Rover was sent from their base whilst other team members made their way separately to a roadside RV-point near Crossley Side Farm.
Two local mountain team rescue members were quickly on scene and together with one of their doctors assisted the Yorkshire Air Ambulance paramedic with the initial treatment to the biker who had a badly broken leg.
After treatment, the biker was placed into a casualty bag, lifted onto a rescue stretcher and carried around 300-metres down to the waiting land ambulance.
He was then taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
A CMRT spokesman said: "The team would like to wish him well for a quick and successful recovery.
"23 team members were involved with the rescue with one other person co-ordinating their response from home.
"The call-out lasted just under two-hours with further time needed to return the Land Rover and equipment back to call-out ready status."
