A DRINK driver caught behind the wheel whilst more than double the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the roads.
Stockton man Shabaz Ahmed had 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped by officers on Station Road, Brompton, Northallerton on March 6 this year.

The legal limit is 35mg of alcohol in 100millilitres of breath.
Ahmed, 39, of Dover Road, Stockton, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, March 29, and was disqualified from driving for 18-months.
He was also ordered to pay £239 in court fines and charges.
