WE looked at all the locations in the North East and North Yorkshire that have defibrillators - and when you can access them.
According to the British Heart Foundation, in the event of cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillator reduces chances of survival by 10 per cent.

With this in mind, we looked at the locations of defibrillators across the North East and North Yorkshire.
See the locations of defibrillators across the North East below according to HeartSafe:
Orange means: limited access
Green means: 24/7 access

According to the map there are 24 defibrillators in and around the Teesside area and three in Darlington.
There are just two defibrillators in Newton Aycliffe and three in Peterlee with Durham just having one on its outskirts.
Sunderland has four defibrillators and Newcastle and surrounding areas has 19.
According to the map there is only one defibrillator in Richmond and this only has limited access rather than 24/7 access.
