That offence was withdrawn but he was convicted by magistrates in Harrogate on Tuesday (March 29) of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the Toyota Carolla clocked by officers that day.

Martin, of Seavegate Close, East Ayton, Scarborough, was disqualified from driving for six months.

Magistrates said the driving ban was obligatory due to repeat offending.

The 38-year-old was also fined £660 along with £90 court costs and £66 victim surcharge, bringing the total he has to pay to £816.
