TRANSPORT police are investigating reports of a woman and a teenage girl being assaulted at a rail station.
The woman required hospital treatment following the incident, which happened at Thornaby Rail Station on Saturday.
Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) met the victims at Darlington station.

The incident, which happened at 8.45pm, is now being investigated.
Witnesses are being asked to come forward.
A spokesperson for BTP said: "British Transport Police received a report of a woman and a teenage girl assaulted by a man at Thornaby station at 8.45pm Saturday 26 March.
"Officers attended and met the victims at Darlington station.
"The woman attended hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"Enquiries into this incident are ongoing. Witnesses, or anyone with information, can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2200028999."
