POLICE in County Durham have hit out at the driving of one motorcyclist in a town after obtaining images of a biker using his vehicle "recklessly" over the weekend.

Officer from the Crook policing unit have taken to social media to share pictures of a motorcyclist that was seen riding dangerously around Glenholme Park.

In a post, the police team termed the conduct of the motorist as "unacceptable behaviour," and called on the public for help identifying the rider and the current location of the bike.

The most recent incident comes after The Northern Echo published its special report on anti-social behaviour in the town, which investigated incidents including smashed bus windows, kicked in doors and other crimes.

Crook Police have released these images of the biker:

Inspector Ed Turner from Crook Police, added: “Anti-social behaviour and criminality is never acceptable and we continue to work closely with our partners and more importantly parents to problem-solve around the issue.

“We have had a really positive reaction from the majority of parents in a recent operation which has helped us to help them and we continue to urge the remaining minority to take personal responsibility for their children’s behaviour.”

If anyone recognises the motorcyclist, they can contact Crook Police on 101.
