A SET of photographs documenting the region’s air ambulance team's last day at its old base is being displayed to raise funds for the charity.
The pictures were taken by Darlington photographer Stuart Boulton, a long-time snapper for the Northern Echo, to mark the Great North Air Ambulance Service’s (GNAAS) critical care team’s final day at Teesside Airport, where it was based before moving to new headquarters in 2020.
The lifesaving charity is now based at Progress House, near Eaglescliffe.

Mr Boulton joined the team to document the final day of operations before the move on August 10, 2020.
Entitled “The Last Day”, the exhibition of black and white photographs is on display in Darlington on Saturday, March 26.
It is being held at Pathfinder House, in Northgate, from 6pm to 8pm.
There will also be live music provided by Smooth and Co.
Originally from the West Midlands, Mr Boulton moved to Darlington in 1990 to work as a photographer for the Northern Echo.
He is currently a freelance editorial and commercial photographer.
The exhibition will be raising money for GNAAS, which relies on donations to continue to fly and costs about £6.7m each year.
Last year the charity was called to 1,620 incidents.
