A MAN who assaulted two people in Bedale and damaged a police officer's equipment has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 in court.
North Yorkshire magistrates sitting at York on Thursday (March 24) heard that Mark Rigby assaulted a man in Bedale Market Place on December 31, 2021.

On the same day, at The Green Dragon pub in Bedale, he damaged a PC's uniform equipment and assaulted a second man.
Rigby, 39, of Lead Lane, Ripon pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating and one charge of criminal damage to property.
Magistrates fined him £846 and additional court charges and compensation brought the total he has to pay up to £1,191.
He was ordered to pay the amount off at £100 per month.
