A PATIENT was taken to hospital after a collision with another vehicle in the Catcote Road area of Hartlepool this morning (March 21).
Motorists were asked to please avoid the area and expect delays, however, the road reopened at 2pm.
Cleveland Fire Brigade tweeted about the incident this morning:
We are dealing with a serious incident in the Catcote Road area of Hartlepool, the air ambulance is en route.

A spokesperson from Cleveland Police said: "Police were contacted by ambulance service colleagues to Catcote Road Hartlepool at 8.15am today where two men had been in collision with a bus.
"Diversions were put in place to allow emergency services to work at the scene and for collision investigation work to begin. The road reopened at 2pm.
"Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are on-going."

A spokesperson from The North East Air Ambulance Service said: "We got called to report to a road traffic collision on Catcote Road in Hartlepool at 8.11 this morning. We dispatched two ambulance crews and a rapid response paramedic and an officer. We also requested support from the air ambulance. One patient was taken to the James Cook Hospital for further treatment."
A spokesperson from the Great North Air Ambulance said: "Our team was activated at 8:14 this morning to reports of a road traffic collision in Hartlepool and they arrived on scene at 8:36am, and we had two doctor and a paramedic assess and treat a patient."
