A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was taken to hospital this morning (March 21) after being knocked down by a car at about 8:30am.
The incident occurred on Park Lane between Parkside and Clifton Avenue in Darlington.
A spokesperson from the North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call to respond to an RTC involving a car and a pedestrian on Park Lane in Darlington at 08.32.
"We dispatched a paramedic crew who took one patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital."

A spokesperson from Durham Police said: "Police were called at 8.45am today to Parkside, in Darlington, following reports that a teenage girl had been struck by a car.
"Paramedics also attended the scene and took the 17-year-old to hospital."
