A MAN who stole three bottles of vodka from Aldi has been ordered to pay compensation in court.
Andrew Gleaves, of Macbeth Walk, Horden, was charged with one count of theft after stealing three bottles of vodka worth £43 from the Aldi on Yoden Way in Peterlee on October 21, 2021.

He pleaded guily on February 26 and his case went back before magistrates sitting at Peterlee on Wednesday (March 16) for sentencing.
The 44-year-old was given an 18-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £45 in compensation.
