A MAN was taken to hospital following a suspected stabbing in a County Durham village on Tuesday night, police have confirmed.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Police were called shortly after 8pm last night (March 15) to reports of a disturbance at a property on Acorn Place in Brandon, Durham.

"A man in his 40s was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle to be treated with a stab wound.
"A 32-year-old woman was arrested and remains in police custody."
