A MAN has appeared in court accused of trying to kill a woman who was found badly injured by a man walking his two Labrador dogs.
The injured woman was found shortly after 6am on Friday in Brunswick Village, which is north of Newcastle.
Officers have been carrying out a forensic investigation of the site over the weekend.

A police cordon was put in place around the area where the woman was found near the Aged Miners Homes.
Matthew Stevens, 27, of Drysdale Crescent, Brunswick Village, appeared before magistrates on Monday (March 14).
Stevens did not enter a plea and no application for bail was made.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on April 11.
