A SECTION of a Darlington town centre road will be closed from Monday morning (March 14).

Part of Duke Street will be closed off to the east of Larchfield Street from Monday for up to two weeks to allow Northern Gas Networks (NGN) to repair a suspected fractured gas main.

NGN has been alerted to a smell of gas in the area and needs to close the road to unearth the gas main and carry out urgent repairs.
