Latest data from the Government dashboard on March 10 has revealed the areas where Covid rates are at their highest across the region.
Although some have seen a reduction, others have witnessed a rise in cases when compared with the week before.

Amanda Healy, director of public health for County Durham, said: “We are aware of a rise in coronavirus cases in areas of County Durham in the past week, which is in line with what we are seeing across the rest of the country following the easing of the last remaining restrictions.
“This was to be expected as we move into a new phase of living with coronavirus.
“We continue to encourage members of the public to follow public health guidance at all times.
“Our best defence against the virus remains people getting their booster vaccine and first and second jabs if they have not had them already.
“We would advise people to continue wearing a face covering in crowded indoor public places and on public transport, let fresh air in if you meet indoors and get tested and self-isolate if required.”
