BOSSES at the country’s largest Poundland based in the North East have said the store is “firmly establishing itself” as one of their most popular stores.
The Teesside store opened its doors on Saturday, February 26 and is the largest store in the UK clocking in at 19,000 square feet.
The store is one of the first to offer a wide range of products for customers from clothes, frozen items, fruit and veg and seasonal items as well.

Having been open for nearly two weeks, a spokesperson at the store said they had “been blown away by the reaction to our new Teesside store.”
They added: “After just a couple of weeks, it’s firmly established itself as one of our most popular stores
“It’s clear the shoppers at Teesside – in fact from all across the north east – really appreciate the extended ranges we’ve been able to offer in store.
“From clothing to cosmetics, frozen food to home décor, we’re proud of the reaction to our new Teesside store.”
When the store was launching Tom Hill said the idea of the store was to give customers more value for money.
He said: “The idea is, customers need value more than ever right now, and so what we’re trying to do is provide it in as many different places and as many weekly shops as you can.”
Consisting of two floors - the ground floor features a range of food items as well as hair and beauty and small appliances.
