A MAJOR road was closed on Wednedsay (March 9) as the emergency services were pictured on the scene - and here's why.
Yesterday afternoon, multiple emergency services were on the scene of a crash on Reeth Road in Richmond in North Yorkshire.
It happened shortly before 2pm on the stretch of road heading out of Richmond towards Reeth. Two cars were involved, with one ending up on its side.

Two fire engines, police and paramedics were sent to the scene and the road was closed for more than an hour as they dealt with the casualties and recovered the vehicles.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed that the occupants of the vehicles were checked over at the scene and did not need to be taken to hospital.
A spokeswoman said yesterday: "The call came in at 1.51pm today, it was reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles, one of which was on its side.
"We sent an ambulance, an emergency care practitioner and a team leader to the scene.
"Everyone was checked on scene and there was no need for anyone to be conveyed to hospital."
The road eventually reopened on Wednesday evening.
