On the same day, on Cedar Avenue in Kimblesworth, he was found to be carrying a locking flick knife without good reason or lawful authority.
Watson-Hunter pleaded guilty before magistrates last month to vehicle interference and posessing a blade in a public place.
He also admitted failing to surrender to custody at County Durham and Darlington Magistrates' Court, having been released on bail on January 17.
Watson-Hunter was sentenced for all three offences by magistrates sitting at Newton Aycliffe on Tuesday (March 8).
The 24-year-old, of Braeside, Edmondsley, Durham, was given a community order with a drug rehabilitation element requiring him to receive treatment for drug dependency.
He was also ordered to pay £180 in court costs and charges which will be deducted from his benefits.
The lock knife he was carrying was seized and destroyed by police.
