A MAN could face jail and was given a restraining order after he beat up a man and woman and then proceeded to stalk the woman.
Shaun Peter Houghton, 47 of Cromwell Parade, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, appeared before Magistrates Court on Tuesday March 8 charged with the offences.

Houghton was charged with assault after he beat up a man and woman on February 3.
He was also charged with stalking after he stalked the woman between February 7 and February 13.
Haughton was committed to prison for 18 weeks overall suspended for 12 months and was also given a curfew.
Haughton was given a restraining order for both victims and for both offences lasting until 2024.
He pleaded guilty to all offences and was made to pay £150 in compensation for stalking.

He was also made to pay £128 to victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
