THE Northern Echo has been inundated with amazing pictures of your children in their costumes for World Book Day 2022.
In previous years, we’ve seen some fantastically creative outfits, and this year is no different This year marks the 25th anniversary of the event, so all the more reason to get involved and promote reading for all children.
Schools and nurseries across the region have encouraged youngsters to choose a character from their favourite book to dress up, or to create a ‘book box’, decorate potatoes, or come to school in comfy clothes suitable for curling up with a good book in.
World Book Day is a charity with the aim to help change children’s lives by making reading together and reading for pleasure a habit for life.
