THESE are the faces of Tomasz Dembler's two killers revealed for the first time along with images of their three accomplices who helped hide the body.

Rafal Chmielewski and Zbigniew Pawlowski admitted their role in the killing in a dramatic twist seven weeks into a murder trial at Teesside Crown Court.

The 39-year-old made a ‘sexual slur’ towards Pawlowski in March last year after the met in a house in Middlesbrough.

Within days, the father-of-one suffered fatal injuries after he was savagely beaten in a house on Edward Street, North Ormesby, in the early hours of March 21 last year. The Northern Echo: Tomasz DemblerTomasz Dembler

“Hearing the details of what happened to him have been traumatic for his loved ones, in the UK and Poland. Tomasz was a father and much-loved son, and this has been a horrific ordeal for his relatives and friends.

“The case had an impact on the local community from when Tomasz was found and we’re grateful for the information we received from members of the public.

“This was a challenging investigation, and I want to thank our detectives and police staff from the Homicide Major Enquiry Team and across the organisation for their professionalism and dedication in finding those responsible and seeking the justice they deserve.”

Jurors had heard how the three male defendants had all blamed Pawlowski for the violent killing but Peter Makepeace QC, prosecuting, said their ‘concocted’ story made no sense.

The court heard how Mr Dembler was fatally attacked in the home of Chmielewski’s cousin Adam Czerwinski.

During his evidence, Chmielewski was accused of concocting the story to blame Pawlowski with the other co-accused because he was not a member of his ‘inner circle’ of family and friends.
