A DARLINGTON man has been fined in court for attending a gathering when tiered coronavirus restrictions were in place.
Theodore Frederick Volkmann pleaded guilty to breaching coronavirus regulations when he attended an outdoor gathering in Harbottle, Northumberland on March 28, 2021.

He met up with a group of two or more people when it was banned under Covid rules as Harbottle was under tier four restrictions at the time.
Magistrates sitting at Gateshead on Tuesday (March 1) fined Volkmann £66 and added a £34 victim surcharge meaning he has to pay a total of £100.
The 20-year-old, of Cleveland Terrace, Darlington, has until the 15th of this month to pay the balance.
