A COLLISION ocurred this morning just before 8am on the A19 near Castle Eden in County Durham.
Emergency services attended the scene and traffic was stationary for around an hour.
A spoksperson from Durham Constabulary said: "Police were called shortly before 8am to reports of a two vehicle collision on the A19 near Castle Eden this morning.
"A man is being treated by ambulance at the scene.
"Recovery of both vehicles is now taking place." (as of 10:45am)

A spoksperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 7.58am this morning to reports of a road traffic incident on the A19 southbound.
"We dispatched two ambulance crews who treated and discharged one patient on-scene, and transported another to the University Hospital of North Tees for further treatment."
