A TEENAGE boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a disused school site over the weekend.
The 14-year-old is being questioned in custody while inquiries continue into the blaze at the former Overdale School, in Scarborough,
North Yorkshire Police said the site, in the Eastfield area, remains closed off to members of the public.
Fire crews were at the scene and were expected to remain there over the course of the weekend.
A police scene guard is expected to remain in place until Monday while inquiries are conducted into the suspicious fire.

The incident is said to have taken place at about 8.30pm on Friday (February 25).
It was soon being treated as a suspected arson attack and police were said to be looking for three teenage suspects.
Crews from Scarborough and Filey were called to tackle the fire at the old school site.
Anyone with information was asked to ring North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the force control room.
