A MOTORIST is reported to have driven his van at another driver after undertaking another vehicle and crashing.
The incident happened in the A177 Durham road bypass/A1027 area at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Cleveland Police said a man was driving a black Hyundai Tucson on the A177 towards the A1027 at about 7.30pm when a grey 19 plate Ford Transit pulled up closely behind him then - where the carriageway splits into two lanes - undertook the Hyundai whereupon the two vehicles collided.

Both drivers turned on to the A1027 from the roundabout and pulled over and as the Hyundai driver was taking photos of damage to the vehicles, the Transit’s driver got back in his van and drove at him before driving away from the scene, a police spokesperson said.
The victim did not sustain any serious injuries.
Enquiries are on-going and officers investigating the incident are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
They would also like to see dash cam footage of the van driving from the Portrack area through to the A177 or speak to anyone who saw the incident after the vehicles had pulled over.
Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number, quoting Ref SE22030779. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers online at crimestoppers-uk.org or by phoning 0800 555 111.
