JAMES Bay has announced a new tour and teased fans with the news of a new album.

The musician recently performed in Stockton, and this tour will see him return to the area on May 9.

Writing on social media, Bay wrote: “Hello to all my UK folks. Very excited to tell you I'm going to be going out on tour with my band again, for the first time in almost THREE years!

“There's going to be lots of new songs and for a VERY limited time you will be able to get early access to tickets if you pre-order my new album (new album!) The date and title of it are going to be announced very soon.

Bay will be performing in The Middlesbrough Empire.

Presale tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster here. They will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 23 February.

Bay's debut album in 2014, Chaos And The Calm, reached No.1 in both the UK and Ireland and entering the US Top 20. The following year, Bay won Best British Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards and was nominated for three Grammys. 

He returned in 2018 with his second album Electric Light, which peaked at No.2 in the UK album charts.

In 2020, Bay released the single Chew On My Heart, taken from his upcoming album.
